Here are some photos from our opening reception of Garden Variety. The show opened Friday, September 5th and will run through Saturday, October 4th with galleries hours on Saturdays from 12:00 - 5:00 pm. Or daily by appointment.

Preview: Our project for "What You Get When You Cross..."

Although this isn't strictly an Armoury related post, we wanted to take the time to plug the upcoming Cedar Block event that we will be participating in at the Milwaukee Art Museum. Jessica and I were asked to be one of 23 teams to collaborate on a piece based around the current MAM exhibition of Gilbert & George. These are images of our work in progress.

This event will be held August 15th, from 8:00 - midnight and is a one night only show, so mark it down and don't forget to come by.

Here is a more detailed description of the show:

"In the tradition of Laurel & Hardy, Abbott & Costello, and Martin & Lewis, the Milwaukee Art Museum & Cedar Block pay tribute to a new generation of comedy teams. "What You Get When You Cross..." pays homage to Gilbert & George as twenty-three Milwaukee-area artists each team up with a partner to create new works based on jokes submitted by friends of the Art Museum. The fifth collaboration of MAM and Cedar Block promises to entertain, enlighten, and create dialogue inspired by the work of the two visionaries featured in the Museum's latest groundbreaking exhibition." $7/$5 Members
